Join us for a breakfast conversation with Dr Jacki Johnson exploring how a stronger focus on stakeholders can help organisations better understand local context, adapt to changing expectations and create value across different markets.

Drawing on her experience as a Trans-Tasman executive and director, alongside her PhD research into how companies create stakeholder value, Dr Jacki Johnson will explore the relationship between trust, governance and strategy – and what this means for leaders operating across Australia and New Zealand.

The discussion will consider how organisations can better understand the different ways stakeholders experience value, why local market nuances matter, and how governance and strategic decision-making can help build and maintain trust. Jacki will also reflect on the practices that enable leaders to identify local risks and opportunities, respond to shifting expectations and balance the needs of customers, employees, communities, investors and other stakeholders without losing sight of long-term value creation.

Following opening remarks from Jacki on the context of her research and book, the session will move into a fireside chat, followed by an audience Q&A.
