Following the Canberra session, the Trans – Tasman GovTech Dialogue continues in Sydney, bringing together senior digital, data, and technology leaders from across government and industry for an update on how Australia and New Zealand are advancing digital transformation across the public sector.
We are pleased to welcome Paul James, Secretary and Government Chief Digital Officer, Department of Internal Affairs, Te Tari Taiwhenua, New Zealand, and Greg Wells, Managing Director, Service NSW.
This discussion will explore the priorities and challenges shaping next-generation digital government — from AI adoption and data sharing to cybersecurity, interoperability, and citizen-centric service design. It will also highlight lessons learned from recent initiatives and opportunities for continued collaboration between the two nations.
Held under the Chatham House Rule, this private roundtable and luncheon will provide an open forum for leaders to exchange ideas, strengthen trans-Tasman relationships, and reflect on the evolving role of technology in building smarter, more connected, and trusted public services.
