12:00pm - 2:00pm AEDT
The Trans–Tasman GovTech Dialogue 2026 will bring together senior leaders from government and industry across Australia and New Zealand for an in-depth discussion on the future of digital government and public-sector transformation.
We are delighted to welcome Chris Fechner, Chief Executive Officer of the Digital Transformation Agency; Paul James, Secretary and Government Chief Digital Officer, Department of Internal Affairs, Te Tari Taiwhenua, New Zealand; Brooke Anderson, Chief Information Officer, National Archives of Australia; and Kristin Auld, Chief Technology Officer, Australian Federal Police, as our special guests and speakers for this year’s Dialogue.
Building on the success of previous years, the discussion will explore how both nations are advancing digital capability, data innovation, and technology adoption across government — from embedding AI responsibly and improving citizen-centred service delivery, to strengthening cyber resilience and digital trust.
Held under the Chatham House Rule, this forum offers participants an opportunity to exchange insights, reflect on shared challenges, and consider the next phase of trans-Tasman collaboration in shaping a modern, secure, and connected public sector.
