Kerrie is an experienced executive in leadership of large organisations and transformative change. She is a Doctor of Philosophy in Community Health, a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Professorship at Flinders University. Before joining Brisbane City Council, she led health services across the health care spectrum in Australia and New Zealand, including in rural and remote Queensland, regional services in New Zealand, metropolitan Brisbane and surrounds, and quaternary health services at Children’s Health Queensland. Prior to working at the Southern Adelaide Hospital and Health Service she was Chief Executive of West Moreton Hospital and Health Service, one of the most diverse and fastest growing health services in Queensland where she led a major digital and infrastructure program, as well as leading through the COVID-19 pandemic. Kerrie also has senior executive experience in purchasing health services, implementing large scale digital change, major infrastructure delivery and leading organisational cultural improvement. Her passion is to serve the community, ensuring services meet community needs and expectations by taking a population approach to strategy.
